The U.S. Justice Department has released tens of thousands more documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, a tranche that included multiple mentions of President Donald Trump but added little new revelator

Deploying standard Trump tactics, the president has tried to create an alternate reality as the Epstein scandal creeps closer to his world.

The Department of Justice issued a statement defending President Donald Trump, whose name is mentioned in the newly released documents. ABC News' Selina Wang reports.

The latest release comes ​just days ‌after the ‍Trump administration ⁠published a large cache of Epstein files in an attempt to ​comply with a new law forcing disclosure on the politically fraught topic.

"Donald Trump traveled on Epstein's private jet many more times than previously has been reported (or that we were aware)," reads the 7 January 2020 email from an assistant US attorney. Trump's name on the flight record does not indicate wrongdoing.
